Camlog Biotechnologies GmbH is an internationally active company and a leading supplier/manufacturer for dental implantology and restorative dentistry. Camlog offers several implant systems with various prosthetic connections. To provide an additional type of already proven prosthetic connection (multi-unit system), the customer collaborated with konplan to develop new abutments, tools, and accessories for certain implant systems.

Portfolio expansion for dental implant connections

The focus of the project was on the development of new multi-unit abutments for the CAMLOG®, CONELOG®, and iSy® implant systems. These multi-unit abutments are a proven solution for comfortable, fixed prostheses supported by four or six implants.
The project also included the development of new tools and accessories, such as try-ins for determining gingival height and a surgical tray with the instruments required for implant and abutment placement.

More choice for the customer and patient

By adding multi-unit abutments to its portfolio, Camlog now gives customers the option of using prosthetic restorations with a multi-unit interface. This allows Camlog to increase its market share with a proven, widely used, and cost-effective solution.
In addition to providing fixed dental prostheses in edentulous patients, Camlog will also be able to offer removable prostheses using the multi-unit abutments.
